As the 2014 NFL Nike Air Max season approaches the Philadelphia Eagles have announced that they be doing battle on the gridiron wearing the latest in high-end Nike athletic apparel. The team announced prior to their preseason game with the New England Patriots on Friday night that they will be using new Nike fabric in their jerseys this season. The team debuted the new look against the Chicago Bears last week.According to Nike, the Elite 51 uniform chassis offers a fully integrated uniform system rooted in body-led design. The NFL Nike Elite 51 uniform chassis is built for a body-contoured fit resulting in zero distractions to help amplify speed.
But now that some sneakerheads are already buying the Nike KD 7 in stores, we now have to ask the sneakerheads out there what the legacy of the Nike KD 6 will be in the long run. When it comes to sheer number of colorways, no other KD got as many chances to shine as the KD 6. It seemed like every colorway that dropped came with a story from KD s life. Across nearly 40 colorways (including Lifestyle options and GS exclusives), you can easily imagine that some felt natural from the start while others were Nike Air Max 97 kind of hokey and contrived. KD also benefitted from the multiple options on NIKEiD throughout the year such as the Chroma and the Gumbo League, often ahead of when LeBron and Kobe got theirs.Performance also goes a long way in defining a sneaker s legacy and for many players in the NBA and across social media, the Nike KD 6 seemed to fill the void that Nike Air Max 90 was left in the wake of the Nike Kobe 9 Elite going high-cut. Thanks to Kobe s influence that low-cut basketball kicks aren t necessarily going to blow up your ankles on the court, the KD 6 may have seen a bump thanks to those Kobe fans that wanted a new pair to ball in but were not going to wait for the Nike Kobe 9 EM or Low Elite.
The Nike LeBron 11 "South Beach" comes to us at an interesting time. James is fresh off an NBA Finals loss that saw all the goodwill he had earned in the past two years go down the drain undeservedly, not to mention he s been getting serious flack from just about everybody with a good set of eyes for not rocking his own signature Nike Air Max Womens shoes. At the onset, James sneaker struggles did not seem to be affecting sales of his signatures at first but Nike ain t no sucka. They know they can t continue to pump out signature James product at the gaudy price point they re charging for them and not have him rock them on the court. That would be like and TMZ catching her everyday eating at Green Burrito*. But maybe they can eke out a few more big releases out of the silo before moving on to the Nike LeBron 12 by dropping a "South Beach" colorway and the still-not-yet-released "What The" Nike LeBron 11.
So while there is plenty of excitement for the Nike LeBron 11, there is also a lot of hesitation surrounding the release. For starters, it s going to be a wide release. How wide? Here s the map on Foot Locker s Launch Locator that I just screen-capped with my phone& In other words, if you want one, you ll probably get one on launch day. Basically, it s everything the release of the "South Beach" 8 wasn t. And there are the comparisons between the shade of greenish blue that Nike will be using on the "South Beach" 11. Will it be the same as the Filament Green and will people still be able to get their Don Johnson on in those kicks without having to deal with cramps and memes? Many anticipate a huge demand but maybe not the quick seller that the original was and it certainly won t break eBay and Kixify from too much people demanding them from resellers.
Lately, there s been a lot of high-level talk as to who are the true influencers. In the NBA, people wonder out loud whether LeBron James is an influencer. His Nike Air Max 270 signature line with Nike is among the world s best-selling sneakers, but how much of that is because it has his name on it? Would the Nike LeBron 10 sell as much as if it was called by a different name not unlike the Nike Hyperdunk and James was still wearing it? How valuable is that co-sign really at the end of the day? There s a reason why you see so few signature shoes from a brand like Nike these days because they are figuring it out themselves how much added value these athletes bring to their bottom line.
