How to cope around smokers?
#1
I have started my vapor and everyone I am around smokes cigarettes, so for those of you that have dealt with this, does that make it harder on you? If so, how do you cope with it?

I feel for ya, I worked from home when I started vaping thankfully because all of my co-workers at my office before it closed, smoked and it would have been rough being around them.

At first though, when going out to eat or something I would see people smoking and it made me want to smoke really bad so I would chain vape in an attempt to calm the urge. That's why it's really important to make sure that you buy the juice with the right amount of nicotine and throat hit so that that when you try to fight off the urge to smoke you aren't left feeling like something is just not right.

I always tell people not to cut back on nicotine until they are absolutely sure that its time.

Good luck, I know it can be tough and remember unless you have some dire physical reason to quit smoking completely for example, it is ok to allow yourself a few cigs throughout the day.

This can be really tough when you first quit cigarettes, and I would try to spend as little time as possible around people that are smoking for the first few weeks. Definitely agree with cerebral, make sure you are getting enough nicotine.

It will get easier. LOTS easier. After 2 years with my vape I no longer have any desire for a cigarette, when I see someone smoking I feel bad for them instead of jealous. You can get there, just stick with it and stay strong! Smile

Yep, just like puffin I don't even crave a cig anymore. I do however crave my vape but with no nicotine in it, I mainly just crave the act of vaping some nice clouds and awesome flavor.

Thank you for all the encouragement with this process, means a lot to me.
I can not wait till I no longer have the urge to smoke. It is not only bad for you but so expensive!

Honestly when I started I braced myself for the worst but it never really bothered me. I guess it was because I was one hundred percent satisfied with my replacement. I do understand how it could be a problem for some people though. The guys above gave good advice.

Some times are more difficult than others. When the vale doesn't cut it all together I also bring some hard candy with me when I know I'm going to be drinking and need that little extra something.
